Fenders for container sites
Durable and environmentally friendly protective fenders in plastic with long durability
The fenders are made of UHMWP (Ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene) which is an extremely hard plastic with very high abrasion resistance. UHMWP’s versatility has made it a popular plastic for countless industrial applications requiring durability, low friction and chemical resistance. For example this plastic is used for crane footplates and for human knee and hip implants. It is also used for fiber marketed as Dyneema used for ropes and sails for sailboats and even for bulletproof vests.

The side fender is made of extremely hard and very smooth plastic material so that the container can easily slide along.
Environmentally friendly
Modulo Systems’fenders are manufactured from reclaimed UHMWP, which is made from the plastic waste collected at the recycling sites.

Sizes and benefits
The side fender is 6m long and comes in 2 pieces of 3m. The 2 fenders measure 3000x145x50mm. The side fender is made of extremely hard and very smooth plastic material so that the container can easily slide along.
Rear fenders
The two rear fenders are also made in UHMWP with a 95mm high rubber fender which can be easily replaced. The rear fender measures 500x10x145mm (LxWxH) + the rubber fender which adds an additional 65mm to the width.
Good ROI
The high durability, combined with the relatively low cost, means that a fender made from recycled plastic has a very long life for little money. At the same time, the use of reclaimed plastic is a good for the environment and septs a good example for recycling stations.
